⁣[Synopsis] Animals suddenly go berserk, attacking and infecting humans. At first, people think it’s just a plague—turns out it’s the apocalypse.
Human and animal genes fuse and mutate, giving people animal traits. The protagonist, Gu Xin, is a white weasel mutant. As a human, he was a zoologist doing fieldwork when a white weasel attacked him. Now he’s a rare kind of mutant—small but deadly. After watching his friends die one by one, he joins "A-Squad," an organization fighting to "turn humans back."
There, he meets the squad’s leader, Shi Yao—a hound mutant. The two team up to hunt down aggressive mutants and capture "herbivores" for experiments.
But Shi Yao’s unstable genes make him prone to violent outbursts. To stay sane, he needs to vent his urges. Gu Xin offers himself as the leader’s "cure." Over time, Shi Yao grows dependent on Gu Xin—even seeing him as his master.
Another powerful group in the city shelters herbivores, trying to rebuild society. The two factions clash...
Yet both underestimate the real threat: the countless, unnoticed rats lurking at the city’s edge.
Amid endless war, an eternal question remains: Return to humanity? Or embrace their animal instincts...
