The Puppet Project EP1
In a dystopian future where society is divided into resource-controlled zones (A-E), elite A-zone commander Jiang Chongyao becomes obsessively fixated on Xia Shuyu (057), a skilled but resistant soldier from the impoverished E-zone. After Xia repeatedly rejects Jiang’s advances and authority, Jiang forces him to undergo the "Puppet Project" – implanting a neural chip that compels Xia to obey any command when addressed by his number (057).
Xia endures psychological and physical torment under Jiang’s control while secretly planning a rebellion. He exploits his position to dismantle A-zone’s defenses, rally disgruntled soldiers, and ultimately overthrows Jiang. In a reversal of power, Xia implants Jiang with the last remaining chip. Despite Jiang’s confession of genuine love and plea to remain "controlled" by Xia, Xia dismantles the oppressive system. He offers Jiang freedom but rejects a relationship, acknowledging complex, unresolved emotions between them as the hierarchy collapses.
